Jennifer Makar
Jennifer Makar is a committed leader in school board governance and community advocacy. She is currently an elected member of the Roselle Park Board of Education. As Director of Faith Outreach at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI), she encourages community involvement in civic duties and voting. Her significant role as state chair of the New Jersey School Boards Coalition (NJSBC) will enable Makar to work to improve student success by promoting strong leadership within school districts, including board attorneys, superintendents, and principals.

This initiative solidifies the principles of a bottom-up approach to government decision-making, emphasizing citizen involvement and local participation while prioritizing community needs and individual empowerment over centralized control.

The 2026 calibration meeting will prioritize establishing clear goals and actionable plans to ensure our success. We recognize that a goal without a plan is destined for failure. The NSBC leadership will establish measurable goals to manage the necessary transition as we confidently advance into 2026.
