Membership Levels
NSBC offers three levels and seven types of membership to accommodate different needs and organizations. Each membership level comes with its own set of benefits, designed to support your role in education leadership.
Elected School Board Officials Membership Levels
Individual Membership
New members pay $50 for their first year.
Sign up for a new membership now and receive:
- Membership valid from the date of sign-up through December 31, 2026.
Eligibility
Open to any elected school board official who aligns with the vision and mission.
Benefits

School Board Membership
Group Membership (3 or more): $150 for the first year for the entire school board
Eligibility
Open to any elected school board official who aligns with the vision and mission.

Associate and Partners Membership Levels
New memberships will provide access and benefits starting from the signup date until December 31, 2026.
Associate Membership
$1000 Yearly
Eligibility:
Available to non-district governing boards such as charter schools, community colleges, and private school operators.
Benefits:
• Access to state chapter events at member rates.
• Subscription to NSBC publications and affiliates.
• Promotion of (up to 4) special events via state page and email to board officials and partners.
State Partners Membership
$1000 Yearly
Eligibility:
Open to state organizations, commercial and professional service firms interested in supporting and participating in state chapter activities and network.
Benefits:
• Partnership with (one) state chapter.
• Recognition as a state partner on NSBC’s website state page and in publications.
• Access to state chapter events at members rates.
• Co-Branding opportunities of services and products.
• Promotional opportunities of networking and professional development events via NSBC website state page and social media.
National Partners Membership
$10,000 Yearly
Eligibility:
Available to national organizations, businesses, corporations, that align with the vision and mission looking to connect with all NSBC state chapters.
Benefits:
• Access to NSBC events at member rates.
• Subscription to NSBC publications and affiliates.
• Access to tabling at events at state and national events.
• Co-Branding opportunities to leverage services or products to a wider audience.
• Promotion of networking and/or professional development opportunities via NSBC website.
Complimentary Membership Levels
Candidate Membership

School board candidates who have officially filed paperwork.

Honorary Membership

Former school board members and select individuals who have made significant contributions to education and align with the NSBC vision and mission.
